" Work From Home" is a Multi Million Dollar Industry. But the meaning is completely different. People want contact details and these 3 words " Work From Home" would bring in millions of contact details.
You might have seen many advertisments in news papers saying work from home in newspapers and giving emails address and contact phone numbers.
If you send an email from your email addrees to their email then you ID is added into List of Valid email ID's
If you make a phone call your phone number is recorded as a valid Phone Number and later used for forcing Tele Marketing and Email Marketing.
People have started inventing news ways....i have seen 3 inch white letters on a Benz S Class Car Back Wind Shiled saying Work from Home call 930004000 or some number. Now you can consider how far people are going.
So trust me and dont try to work from home. If you really need some cash you can go to Data Entry centers to get some good money.
And the other part is online websites like www.rentacoder.com and www.getafreelancer.com. These sites provide bids for projects. You can bid for how much you can do some work. If you win you have to complete the work as per schedule. I have spent some years on this sites before getting my first project and i finished some 3 projects in 2 years and got some 200$. They are trust worthy but people who put projects are people who dont have the money to complete the project the actual way.
Let me taken an example. You will see many projects like Inventory Management System, Online dating website, Complete Shopping Chart. These kind of projects would take atleast few thousands of dollars to complete but the Budget they would give is less that 100 USD.
And you would see people bidding 30$ 40$ also. And such projects would never go anywhere.
So working online is still a yet to develop senario

i read emails at home with my kids and get paid to do it. its really simple and doesnt cost anything.... i dont trust websites that want money. so i ended up at hits4pay. no sign up fees and it doesnt promise youll make thousands a day. its slow going at first. you get paid $10.00 to sign up and $0.02 per email you read. these emails are not sent to an email address, the website has an internal inbox. (really nice). so i did it for a few days... i averaged about 7-10 emails a day... well $0.20 a day wasnt gonna help. so i started recruiting others. that when you make the big bucks!!! I have 55 people directly under me and 54 people under them... so now lets say that only half of them read their emails everyday (10 emails x 55 people x 0.01) Im making $5.50/day for doing nothing!!!! Thats $170.50/month FOR FREE!!! But why wouldnt everyone read the emails??? You get paid to sit at home and look at advertisements!!! You do this while you watch t.v.? and you dont get paid!!!!

There are several ways you can look into to find out if a company your looking into is a scam or not. One is checking with the BBB. This cuts out a lot of investigations. If the company is registered with the BBB then you know that they are a legitament company because the BBB does all the inside work. Only members of the BBB are legitament businesses. The BBB investigates this part.
