Your cooling system is really not something you want to mess with, can cause expensive engine repairs later down the road. Depending on where the leak is you can always try stop leak, to buy you a little time. If your heater core is leaking it can be by-passed. Only down fall of this is NO heat!

if the automobile has an all metal radiator then black pepper will sometimes seal the leak. The magnesium in the pepper binds to the metal of the radiator and seals the leak. If it is on the plastic parts or just a leaking hose then it will not work. You NEED to take it and have a REAL mechanic look at it. They will know how to fix the problem. If you run the engine hot, even just one time, it can ruin a lot of newer motors

If it is just a slow leak dump some pepperflake or ground pepper from the grocery store in the coolant system for a temp fix.
Then get the problem fixed correctly
DO NOT USE any of that snake oil like BARS or STOP LEAK. they will only cause you more heartache down the road. And normally reduce the effectiveness of your heater and radiator.

A can of stop leak. You can get it most hardware stores, auto centres, garages, auto supply stores. If the leak is too big and stop leak doesn't work take it to a garage.
Stop leak is a band aid fix until you can get it done right.

The first thing to do would be an inspection or a pressure test to find the leak ,then have a mechanic repair it as needed.Do not resort to "God in a bottle" or "miracles in a can" tactics, because that can create problems worse than what you started with such as plugged heater cores or even radiators.Fix it right ,you'll be glad you did in the long run.

a new cooling system. If its a hose, easily fixed, cheep too. If its your radiator, that'll cost you.
There are NO permenant fixes for leaks, other then to replace the offending parts.
