I need to quit smoking again. hate the fact that I actually enjoy it. I had quit for 2 yrs. and have quit a many of times for a couple of yrs. here and there. and laws are getting stricter and stricter because of the dangers for those who smoke and for those around them. I want to quit but forever this time. I unfortunately took back up the habit last April. It's Jan. now, would be so cool if I really quit smoking now, or atleast b4 april or march.

But ANYWAY, if u've ever smoked (and this ques.is really for those who are smoking or were former smoker's actually)--did you noticed how it makes ur face slightly drawn looking? and then when u quit after 2-3 months your face kinda plumped up again w/out not even the slightest bags under ur eyes?

I think I made the mistake of thinking that smoking was what was keeping me trim all these seasons, but have realized it was actually the 3.5-4.5 mile walks I was taking every single week that kept me skinny, not the awful stupid cigs.

It's all in the genes! Certain factors may contribute to premature wrinkling, such as sun, environmental pollution, stress, thyroid problems and smoking, however all of these pollutants can be halted to an extent by increasing your Vitamin C and A intake.
Nevertheless smoking is unhealthy and frowned upon by a large majority of the population. It was just reported on the news that more Americans are becoming overweight in this country and they believe it's caused by "giving up cigarettes". It has been proven that people will gain at least 5 lbs when they stop smoking
and doesn't happen immediately either. All in all we know that cigarette smoking is bad for our health, just as alcohol, drugs, environmental pollution, the food supply, and just about everything
we do now has detrimental effects on our health. What we really need to do is not only give up smoking but finding ways to reduce the enviormental toxins, improve our food supply, ect. so that we may lower the risk of cancer and be healthy. Your mile walks will certainly be an aid in your smoking cessation as well as your determination. Good Luck, you can do it!

Stop putting off what you must do for your health! I quit smoking after 30 years. I breath better and smell better and look better. I whitened my teeth and use skin cream and eat well and if I ever want to smoke again, I'll just stick my head in a BBQ pit.

I think you maybe right. How's this for stupid?? I quit 15 years ago and started up again in May due to financial & job stress. I've always had bags under my eyes but they may be worse now. argh!
Sadly, I am enjoying it again too. I didn't think I'd get hooked if I just had a couple of cigs but wrong again!!

I agree!! I quit recently too and have noticed a big difference! In my opinion though...you won't be able to quit unless you really truly want it. I quit twice before, 6 months each time. This time it's for good because I know I want it and I cringe to see someone smoking or smell it near me. I know it's forever this time. Good luck to you....if you need any help just yell!

Yes. I have gotten compliments that my face glows, during my quit periods. Why cant we quit forever? Its like a bad relationship, you sneak back to it once, and you are stuck. Would you want to be with someone that kills you slowly? Why smoke? Oh yeah, why do I smoke?

yes I know what you mean. But another reason is cigg's dehydrate you. And combine that when you quit smoking with the fact you proublly drink more water when you quit you become more hydrated.
