do i have to pay child support if i am getting ssdi and my daughter applied for benefits under my social security benefits and she lives with my ex-wife, if she gets the benefits do i have to pay for child support

the benefits your daughter receives are considered child support. But you might want to check with your child support office to make sure.

Excellent question-- you need to speak with a family law attorney on that one. You would probably end up having to pay for something if your ex-wife has 100% (or some other primary custody ratio) custody, even if she's on state/fed benefits; the question is how much? Most of the time, states base it on the parents' ability to pay, etc., but you should go to a lawyer so that you don't have to pay more than you have to or get some sort of crappy judgment/order entered against you.

My understanding is if you were court ordered to pay then you must. You might be able to petition the judge to reassess the child support situation though. I recommend that until the original judge's decree is changed, you must continue to make the payments. You should consult your attorney that handled the case.

yes ...they wont consider anything other than what u make per year then apply the chart to it ... even if shes filthy rich ur gonna pay based on what u make only ... not even ur expenses will be considered most likely.
