They disrespect all women, black and non-black. I date only non-black men because I have no other choice.

What did you do to deserve disrespect? If you said "Nothing," you might want to reconsider--maybe you have a predisposition to being a *****, and that causes black guys to disrespect you.
OR
The black guys you're referring to are ignorant. Many ignorant men of all colors disrespect women--most of the time without even knowing it. I mean come on--women were only used for making babies, dinner, and cleaning house for how long???!!!
Overcoming a stereotype that's been ingrained in society and every young boy that says 'man is the stronger of the sexes and shouldn't cry or express emotion' causes them to lash out at women (and other people).
Men who are educated, regardless of color, understand that a great mind is the universal equalizer. If you are an adult, you should know that respect is given to everyone--and that makes you a man or woman.

It's not just black men. Men of all races disrespect women. why? because this is what they were taught by their parents. The majority of our views and actions are learned at home, not by society. Society tells you it is wrong but if you don't learn a different way to act you won't change the pattern. Don't refuse to date black men just make sure that any man you date, no matter what race, treats you with respect.

Well excuse me! Are you trying to say that all black men are like this?! Because if so you are certainly WRONG! Maybe they only disrespect you because you have a bad attitude obviously! Or they just don't want you! My father is black and has never disrespected my mother in his life! Maybe you should stop trying to date wanna-be gangsters and then you won't have a problem! It's too bad for you that you can't date black men.....you are missing out!

Not all black men are that way, even though I agree with you that many black men are very derogatory to black women. It's actually both ways at times. Many of them like to date other race of women because they feel it's easier to get over on them, because black women are known or stereotyped for being loud, aggresive like the men. Also, the ones I know(guys) they feel Spanish girls or White girls are more attractive than black girls. The lighter the skin, the prettier. Again, it's not with all men though. I don't have a problem with Interracial dating, it's when you prefer a specific skin color, that's when it becomes offensive.

I am with a black man and he is so wonderful. Not all black men don't treat women with respect. I guess maybe you have been around some bad ones but trust me there are white men that don't treat women with respect also.

I am not sure if your generalization is accurate. There are many "black" men out there that are highly respectful. BUT- I will say that for some that appear in the music videos- they are the worst as their lyrics are all about being bedroom "ganstas" and strippers. I definitely would stay away from those types of men that cannot get away from paying women off for favors- that is disgusting behavior. There are also many non black men that are not respectful but I do not hear them singing about it or casting booty shaking women in their videos either.

Hey, not ALL black men treat women with disrespect. Yes, a lot do, but I know at least 20 black men that are the most sweetest, funniest and respectful men. They all treat me with care and respect!!
