You:
- thank her for telling you vs. keeping secrets and lies
- support her as much as you can, knowing that she has had a hard time coming to the decision regarding whether to tell you
- support other LGBT people by joining a straight-gay alliance at school, or PFLAG
- do not allow people to use the word "gay" as equivalent to "bad," nor tell anti-LGBT jokes in your presence, nor insult LGBT people in general.
In short, you keep on being the loving child that you were before. You just have a few more things to put into action to show your understanding and support.
Good luck!

Keep loving her just as you did before. She's the woman that gave birth to you.
She loves you the same as she always has and always will.
Move on with your life, this is just the way your mother is and has always been but now she is open about it.
You should be proud of her for having the courage to come out after all these years, especially from the time period she was rasied in.

Dont know how old you are- but it doesnt matter. There is an organization called Children of lesbians and Gays Everywhere- I am straight but I used to help out there.....www.colage.org for resources and information. It's ok, I'm sure your mother loves you, as strange as it first may seem, she's your mom always. Remember that. And don't let anyone talk bad about her!!! That's your family for life!

If my mom says she's gay and has girl friend, I would want to move out of the house. still love her though.

You tell your mom you want to meet the g/f and when you are all in the same room you give them a little gift and a welcoming hug to the famliy for the g/f. I suggest a little picture of you with your birthdate on it, so she won't forget to send you a card.

Get DirecTv and watch the Logo channel. There are a lot of "coming out" stories that can help you see how other people adjust to such events in their lives.

And this means what? She's still going to be your mom. Nothing has really changed.
