My ignition switch is broken and I can't buy a new one right now. I found the wires, I'm just not sure which 2 to put together.

It's not as simple as putting 2 wires together.
Is the switch or the key cylinder broken?
If it is the switch, "hotwiring" is not a good option, besides you don't want to bugger up your wiring harness, and the steering would possibly be locked if the key will not turn.
If it's the key cylinder, you could work the switch using a connecting rod until you can get a new cylinder, assuming the key isn't locked.
