I read that NC A&T, Alabama State and Florida A&M all attempted but failed to move to D-IA. Why could they not make it? i no that at Florida A&M got approval to move up a few yrs ago, but i dont get what stopped them after that.

There is a lot that goes into moving up. You have to average a certain amount of attendance at each game, you have to have the money is the main thing. You need money to give that many scholarships and such. It's really all about the money. There is not any person holding them down. MTSu and several other Sun Belt teams have almost had to go back to 1-aa because attendance has been down.
