I will give you a bit of a background to exactly what happened.
One day, I decide to download 4oD (for Americans, this is a downloadable program that allows you to watch programs that have appeared on the Uk channel 4 again by paying 99p per program). As soon as I realised you had to pay, I uninstalled it. When I went on YouTube to watch some music videos, this message came up:

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest flash player."

So, I downloaded the latest Flash player, but it still comes up. I downloaded it again and added the Yahoo! toolbar, and then restarted my PC. It still doesn't work.
Can anyone tell me how I can fix this self-inflicted problem? It would be much more helpful if you could tell me what JavaScript is and how I turn it "on".

Thousands of thanks in advance. xxx

exactly the same thing has happened to me - think i'm going to reinstall 4oD and see if that works, then go from there! it's really annoying - also uk answers page has gone funny but don't think that's related.

will let you know if anything works x

reinstalling 4oD did not work so got rid of it again.. trying to work out the java thing, it's enabled on internet settings.. grrrrrrr

update -

i found these links which tell you to uninstall flash & reinstall the full version, it didn't work for me but might for you, seems to be quite a common problem
