CRAP ideas, which normally cost the tax payer money???
Todays great schemes are
Weigh fat children so that their fat parents may do something about their weight, hmmmmmm
Lets teach kids to be proud our pathetic country, maybe because the older wiser parents are fed up with the way the country is being brought to its knees, by one thing and another.
Lets not send people to jail as they are full !!

Do we really need the govt to tell us what fat looks like. Charge parents with reckless endangerment if their kids are overweight! If the parents are overweight they know what they are doing and it is their choice!
Bring back chain gangs and make criminals work on roads, railways etc. Hard work would put some people off going to jail.
Children are not allowed to be competitive at school...... its taking part that counts.....really? I would rather my child came last in the egg and spoon race than grow up thinking that as long as they go for an interview its okay. Being turned down for jobs etc is more damaging than losing the egg and spoon race. Why do you think the Cricket team, rugby teams etc are so dreadful.....no competition!
You don't have to be proud to be British just be a fat slob without a brain!

The reason they come up with these ideas is that they think that by tryingnto focus our attention on these things it will divert us from the weightier matters such as Iraq. They also do not have a clue as to the real feelings of the majority of the country. Most people I talk to are anti a lot of these silly ideas, but why do we vote them in? It's in our hands to get rid of them. Having said that, experience says that whatever party is in power there are always pet subjects that they make ludicrous laws about. Although I have to say the present government seem to be making more than most.

They may say prisons are full but room WILL be found for the next Elderly person who refuses to pay their Council tax, won't it?

Because they do not have the same life experiences as the rest of us and therfore can only think of these scenarios therotically and not practically like the rest of us can.

well simply cus none of them have lived a normal life. they got cash what do they care, only one who has lived a real life is jhn prescott, but as long as theres enough pies in the country he isnt a problem to them.
