I recently reinstalled windows, and Itunes. Now itunes doesn't recognize my ipod and will only allow me to associate with it by erasing the ipod. I don't want to lose my entire library, so is there ANY way for me to upload the mp3s to the computer?

Did I not make it clear that Itunes WILL NOT allow the ipod to connect unless it is erased?

i will tell you the best answer, in itunes make sure you switch to manually manage music and click to disk enabled mode ok. then download a program called ipodutil it is free and will let you download all your ipod songs back to your computer and then you can import them back to itunes, problem solved friend.

open one of your dirves holding ipod then transfer the music that is if you have it on your ipod like that.
