have not done it, I have 2 HD's with hard bags so no need.

But it wouldn't be all that hard. You would need the upper supports where the mounting pins attach the bag to the bike and make a lower mount for the bag to rest on.

Some good measurements off a Harley with the bags removed and go for it.

I haven't done it, but was plannig on doing so. Instead, I bought a new H-D Electra-Glide, so I didn't need to mount the hard bags on my Honda (I have several sets of leather bags for it, even the large bags don't hold as much as the H-D hard bags). Go to the Delphi ACE750 forum (input Honda 750 ACE in a search engine and a link should come up), and post a request regarding this, include a question to Vensel (or NDDBM). He installed H-D hard bags on his Honda 750 ACE (also an Electra-Glide Fairing and a lot of other parts, turned it into a real bagger).

Like anything else, it really depends on how handy you are. If you're not, take it to any shop and they'll probably be able to help you out.
