For the U.S., stop undermining the United Nations, and admit that we are not qualified and do not have international public support to intervene in the politics of other nations. We've managed to botch the job every single time we've tried to intervene or take sides in the internal affairs or border disputes of other nations when we did not have the full backing and support of the U.N. or a regional authority. And every time, anti-American and anti-western sentiment increases, and we come off as the schoolyard bully. Israel/Palestine/Jordan/Lebanon et al, Korea, Somalia in the 90's, Vietnam, and of course Iraq are all examples of U.S. meddling where we refused to let the U.N. do its job, and then tried to blame them after we made the situation worse.

Well, for one you could start with systems of thought based on dicotomy such as good/evil.

Also, in the book I am writing I talk about using conversation to transform the world. Such as, we have an ever increasing population, right? Well, we watch one another in order to grasp and often internalize cultural norms. Changing cultural norms is one way to transform our social world. Such as, if we began a conversation about how possibly selfish it is to have more than one child on a planet where polulation density is ushering sky-rocketing disease rates, polution, dwindling resources... etc.

Also, a book suggestion: Paulo Freire "Pedagogy of the Oppressed" is the single most influential book I've ever read.
This book explores one way in which human social systems of interaction lead to social unrest even to a global level.

its less expensive than most of the books i've bought. link below to where you can find this book at a decent price.
