They wanted to go out on top. Also Jennifer Aniston had a promising career in the movies at that time, so it was kind of tired doing both at the same time; and last but not least they were tired of doing 1 million dollar per episode each.

The cast wanted to move on and do other things like movies. The show was on for 10 seasons.

Because after 10 seasons, the actors wanted to do something different. Jennifer Aniston wanted to get more into movies, for example. You can't spend your whole life on one television show.

Take as example...the guy who played Migel on Passions left that show to go onto Desperate Housewives...now he has since left that show *every great while he's on* he's in movies now.

The cast members were starting to get busy doing other things, and they may have wanted to leave while the show was still a hit.
