I'm currently going through a tough divorce:
*My wife "blew a gasket" after 13 yrs. of marriage, and left us in April 2006.
*The kids left me to be with her in October 2006.
*Their mom and her boyfriend badmouthed me to the point that the kids are afraid of me and won't talk to me anymore.
I was in court for a child custody mediation meeting on Monday.
*My daughter shouted, "There's daddy!" She ran up to me and gave me a long, hard hug before I had a chance to turn around and meet her.
*I almost sank to my knees and cried on the spot.

I discovered my soul mate and most amazing lover in my best friend. It is beautiful and the happiest thing to have happened to me in a very long time after a very damaging previous relationship

My best friend wrote me a letter. Actually, it was an email letter, but it was a very beautiful letter. Sometimes, just having good friends is the very best thing in life.
Friends care about your well-being; they care about what you have to say; they care about your future; and they care about the little things, as odd as they may be, that matter to you.
So, for me, the happiest thing to happen to me was hearing from a friend -- "friendship."

I am pregnant and my baby has been breech for weeks. We just found out this past week that she turned head down and we are just thrilled. We have two kids and to have major surgery would be really hard for me to take care of the kids while healing. We are so happy.

happy things can't happen, honey. Things can happen that make you happy, but happy cannot be used to describe the actual happening. Perhaps you mean the best? Or "What's has happen this week that has made you happy?" because my answer to that would be drugs. That's pretty much my answer to everything.
