The Big Bang theory has NOTHING to do with how Earth formed.

Earth and all the planets formed in a nebula (a huge cloud of gas and dust in space) along with our Sun 4.5 billion years ago. You know how, if you don't clean under your bed for a long time, you get dust bunnies? Dust is really good at forming clumps like that. Space dust is the same - little tiny dust particles stick to each other. Over time, more and more dust sticks together and you start to get rocks. These rocks collide, making bigger rocks. Eventually you have a rock the size of Earth!

There are a lot more details than that, of course, but that's some of the basics.

Many theories have been putforth to explain the formation of Earth . 'The Big Bang ' theory is the most accepted one.

According to it,the earth seperated from a gaseous mass and condensed to form a sphere in the course of time.
