No!as a former Brit myselfyou could look at the pubs in any town nightly you could add alcohol problems to that list!also i know from personal experience that people in any country are able to have the virtues of fairness...tolerance and generosity...In saying these are peculiar to only the british I think is very predudice and unfair to others!

I think Britishness is very similar to Germanishness, or Russianishness, Chineseness.
Fairness, tolerance, generosity are not British virtues, they're human virtues. Those words do not describe all British, nor are they practiced only by the British.

i think its fair to say the British people are tolerant and generous and fair,u only have to look at the changes that have happened to the whole country in the last ten years,IE[political correctness, immigration, minority rights, common sense out the window, being called certain names if u don't follow the far left agender.ext,ext.But i reckon ,why the government are now going down this road ,is because they opened a big can of worms , when they let Scotland and wales have there own Parliaments

Now that I have stopped laughing, how silly is that? Those things relate to any decent human being, not just the British. I guess tolerance is appropriate as we have such a multi-cultural society and we should be accepting of other people's beliefs and cultures, but having lived in Britain all my life (and growing up in Scotland as an English person) I would say that tolerant is far from what some Brits are. I have never experienced such open nationalism anywhere else, it is quite scary.

I love this idea. For some reason I don't know how, but I have a real love and understanding of being British. I think fairness, and tolerance come into it but that is not all. Britishness is about doing the right thing, but being modest. (unlike the Americans!)
I think children should get a good education in Britishness. The country needs it.

The government is talking rubbish as usual. They've got eveyone chasing money. Where i use to work one guy use to get time off to 'bowl' professionaly for britain, then they stopped him for going and later threatened him with the sack. He later left. No one cares about britishness, whatever that is, just the £ and $.

Being British is being pushed in a German vehicle to an Irish pub to drink Belgian beer. it is going to Turkish takeaway for Indian nutrition and going homestead to consume it on your Swedish settee together as gazing American television shows on your jap television set. Being Brisish is been waiting to get a pizza extra quicker than an ambulance and having to stroll to the returned of the food market on your drugs together as all of the cigarettes are on the front. in user-friendly terms in Britain are the doors to the financial company extensive open together as the pens are chained down. There you have it, if i think of of from now on ill upload them later
