I think it is because no self respecting germ/virus/bacteria etc. would want to go near a nasty @$$ person with no personality.
They have standards too you know. When my Dad died of cancer ( he loved life and laughter, but never once complained of his fate), I figured that had to be the answer. I am more convinced, years later as others who are wonderful people die young, and old bitter people live well past 90.

Generally speaking people get cancer first, and then learn to enjoy life. Those who want to die often are cowardice, and keep themselves out of harms way. They often only look at the bad things in life, whereas those who are dieing try to look at the good.

Because most people that want to die, use a gun or pills, or a razor.
Thus, their life span is cut short, before they could even get Cancer. Also older guys with terminal illnesses (like cancer) are prone to suicide, also.

Yes! Have you ever watched the news and someone was killed and when they talk to people that new the person they always say that person was the best, kindest, sweetest, loving person that ever walked the earth. You never hear "oh that person sucked, they were terrible, miserable. As Billy Joel sings it Only the good die young! :(

my Dads first wife was a hypochondriac. She practically lived at the hospital with one pain or another..even had a hospital bed placed in her living room in lieu of couches. She spent thousand and thousands of dollars on medical equipment, medication and whatever else would 'make her better' This woman outlived my Dad (who was healthy as a horse) by 10 years! So I don't know anything else to call it but pure irony.

I have and frankly,,,it saddens me... The biggest example is when Dana Reeves died of lung cancer last year, I didn't know her obviously, but when I think of the assholes in this world that live on, and here she, after taking care of her husband all those years, gets lung cancer and doesn't even smoke...That really upset me...I don't know why!!

I have seen people who are miserable get cancer. I think cancer doesn't discriminate. Bad luck, bad genes.
