It was a nice movie. I was so happy to have a decent movie without sex and violence. My kids have a better understanding of why I work as hard as i do and as to why i left them in daycare in their "earlier" years

I think that the film was a nice tale of triumph over adversity. and a shining example to people who can achieve success if they want it bad enough. and i can understand Willl smiths desire to make it as it wil be a great influence on the African American community and portrays them in a good lite. as a film it was a little too long but not too much. it seemed to be so depressing for such a long time and did not focus enough on the characters success and high points. and the appearance of smith Jr was a scene stealer for getting all the comical lines. overall this is a film worth watching at least on DVD if not shelling out for the pictures. probably smiths best career move.

I've waited talbes at a resturant in an airport where guys siting by themselves would order bottles of wine in the 200 - 300 dollar range.......... they just drink it. they are live in a world where money is very insignificant since they 1 either have WAY too much of it or 2 the company they work for is willing to take care of them. sometimes these companies give them a par-diem . this is money they can spend on food drink and entertainment per day. sometimes they same up the "allowance" and blow it all at once on a bottle of wine they'd never otherwise have a chance to enjoy. usually the wines priced around there are 1 either very rare, or 2 old and aged = smooth... the flavors blend together to make a rounder, solider flavor them many distint flavors. remember though, wine doesn't HAVE to be expensive to be good. price is a high indicator on how much the company holds at once (called overhead) compared to the bills they have to pay to stay running.

I haven't seen the movie but I have read excerpts from the book by Chris Gardner. I'm positive that Will Smith will do the character justice...he's one of the best actors out right now, and Chris Gardner deserves to be honored.

I thought it was excellent. It still doesn't diminish its excellence even upon a second viewing. The story was inspirational and Will Smith surprised me as to how well he brought the character to life.
I guess that's why he has been nominated for Best Actor for this film at the Oscars. ;)

I absolutely loved it...I think the relevance of the spelling is that he has no higher education when he is going up against the other interns so he must have to work even harder not only to stay in league with them but to surpass them.

Loved the movie! at the beginning of the movie when he is dropping his son off at the daycare, the word happyness is misspelled in grafitti on the wall outside and he points it out to his son. His son then tells him but they spelled f**k right, it was also on the wall in grafitti
