Of course your teacher knows the answer, she probably just didn't want to give the answer to you.
All you're doing is multiplying.
Multiply the coefficents (2*5)
Add the exponents on the corresponding variables.
The b^2 will not change, but you need to add the exponents on the a's
You can't just insert plus or minus signs when there is none there.

= 10 a^3 *b^2

This is an algebraic expression, not an equation.
Multiply monomials:
(2a² b²)(5a) = 10a³ b².
