If your cycle is the typical 28-day cycle, you are usually ovulaing 14 days after the first day of your last period. www.babycenter.com has an ovulation calculator that is helpul. You put in the dates of your last period and it calculates your possible fertile days and due date if conception occurs.

I just wanted to tell this person that your ovulation is generally two weeks after your last period, if have regular monthly periods, and another way is to take your tempature at the same time every day for a month. If you are healthy without any sicknesses, your ovulating should be a little higher in tempature than the other days of the month. Hope this helps.

Start taking your bbt every morning and checking cervical mucus and position. When your temp goes up it means you have already ovulated (this is helpful in the long run, not right away for telling when you will be ovulating) When you buy a basal thermometer (NOT a fever thermometer) it should have instructions on how and when to use it) when the cervical mucus looks like egg whites and your cervix is higher than normal and soft that means you are ovulating and should have sex that day and as many days before as possible (you probably won't know exactly when before is for a few months) and for a few days after just in case. If you don't know when you will be ovulating just start having sex every other day for the first few months till you are able to figure out exactly when your ovulation date is.
