Well, if this is a serious question, the ticking would happen once everytime you turn the key, and that would be your starter solenoid activating, but your starter is not turning. Could be you battery is dead, or it could be a starter problem. If the battery is not dead, check the connection between the solenoid and the starter if the solenoid is not integral with the starter. If the connection is good or if the solenoid is integral with the starter, replace the starter.

either a dead battery or a bad connection at one of the cables to the battery. Tighten them first to see if that helps. If not, then have someone give you a jump (RED TO POSITIVE, BLACK TO A GROUND ON THE ENGINE).

Look for white corrosion around the terminals and clean it off first - lightly with a little sand paper. If this solves the problem and you get your car started, coat the terminal with greese to keep it from corroding again.

I assume there is ticking sound when you turn the key into start position. If that's the case - it's either a dead battery (more likely) or a bad starter.

Check the battery cables. They have to be clean and tight. If you have someone jump start your car make sure they know what they are doing. Doing it wrong can cause serious problems and injury. Have the battery and charging system checked at an auto parts store or shop.

i'm sorry to declare that it is your coolant being low this is inflicting the over heating and thumping. That thumping is the the rest coolant boiling. in basic terms because of the fact there is coolant contained in the reservoir would not propose there is coolant contained in the radiator. once you have a leak, the reservoir restoration gadget would not artwork properly and the reservoir remains finished yet there is not any coolant contained in the gadget, in basic terms contained in the reservoir. that's the two that or your water pump went south, or the thermostat is caught closed.

This ticking sould you here, is it tick tick tick tick really fast, or is it just one tick when you turn the key to start and one tick when you release the key? If it ticks fast then it has a weak battery, if it is just one tick then it has a bad starter.

Sounds like you have a dead battery. Have somebody give your car a jump start. No need to panic!
