1994 Lincoln Cont’l V-6 3.8 122,220 Miles

Problem: At times Temp’ Gauge reads above the Normal range and setting off signal. Then returns to normal range if I slow down approx 5 to 10 miles per hour. (SUCH AS, if I am driving 65=70 mile per hour and the temp signal goes off and gauge shows above normal.... After I slow down a little the temp bars immediately goes back to normal...Then I can then drive 70- 80 miles per hour for 50-60 miles and it stays right in the middle of the normal range.
I installed :New Radiator, New Thermostat, New Rad’ Cap #16, New Temp’ Sensor located at the Thermostat housing above engine. I Flushed the cooling system after using Zerox Super Cleaner and installed Barr Leak ( Head and Gasket Block Sealer) following directions to the letter. Then I Flushed cooling system again and installing new Prestone Anti Freeze.
Engine uses no oil and maintains a constant water level in the reserve tank. Does not appear to be loosing water.

Could be a air pocket forming under the thermostat, which causes it to hang closed sometimes. Take it out and drill a tiny hole in the part where the coolant passes, that will allow the air pocket through, but allow only a trickle of coolant. I think Ford had trouble with the head gaskets on some of the 3.8l/4.2l which could be contributing to the problem

A penny went lots farther in those days than it does now, in a time while a greenback an afternoon wasn't a bad salary. And in those days, people easily walked places. Abe Lincoln did no longer have a mommy and daddy to tension him around in an SUV. I advise you adjust right into a splash greater conscious of background earlier you're making the different disparaging feedback approximately loved historic icons.
