I am watching an episode of quantum leap and sam has just lept into the body of a boy with Down's Syndrome my question is beacuse sam dosent have down's syndrome do's he have his normal inteligence meaning he is as smart as befoure he lept into the boys body? or do's he have the intiegence of the body he is inhabiting meaning he is not as clever as he was??

Yeah... I really enjoyed the show a lot, and can't wait until I can purchase all the seasons on dvd.
This is actually one of the few characters Sam revisits more than once, even up until the final episode they bring that character back into the storyline.
And yes... to answer your question, Sam does retain his own intelligence level, and in fact, has to use it a few times to improve some situations that happen in the story.

He has his own intelligence because its still him, just in the other person's body.
