I am 37 weeks.Last week at my appt. when I was 36 weeks I measures 37 weeks.I have been measuring a weeks bigger everytime. But yesterday at my appt. when I am supposed to measure 37 weeks, I measured 35 weeks! I think that is very weird. All the doctor really said about that is "Maybe it's because the baby is moving down" I went for a non stress test because the baby also hasn't been moving that much.Everything came out okay I guess. It took about an hour or so to get the baby to wake up.I have to go back Monday for another stress test. I am just wondering if anyone else out there has been through this.?. I don't know if I should be concerned. My doctor isn't REALLY concerned. Please any advice or feedback would be great....Thanks so much..........

Normal.
Baby's positon in the womb can effect how you measure.
Also, if baby has dropped, that would effect it.
And if you are 37 weeks, anywhere from 35 cm to 39 cm would be considered a normal measurement.

Check with your Dr. about having an ultrasound to make sure that you are not losing fluid. I measured properly all through my pregnancy until 35 weeks. They did an ultrasound and found that I had no fluid left. Baby and I are very healthy and well (he's now 10 months), no complications, but he did have to be born the day they found out. I had a c-section, but they also could have induced had he not been breach.

Everything is probably normal, but checking on the amniotic fluid level will reassure you. :)

awwww....dont worry until there is a real reason to worry ok? first of all...what you doc said about the baby moving down makes perfect sense. i seem to recall that its common for the measurement to change for this reason so close to delivery. also, babies often calm down for a period of time before birth.

i know its very hard to keep calm when your mind is swirling with " what ifs"...but do your best to have POSITIVE thoughts...take good care of yourself...keep your mind occupied (read a good book and watch uplifting movies!) and get enough rest. soon you will have a beautiful baby that will need you to be healthy and happy!

all the best!:)

it probably is just because the baby is moving down. If you are really worried ask for another ultrasound. good luck.
