Yes, but a qualified yes, he really does not have the experience, however, neither did Kennedy. From what I seen on the Sunday talk shows he appears to be very intelligent, he is well spoken and articulate. I know that this does not make a good president but is a huge step forward from the thing we have now. I am sure that if he surrounded himself with good advisers and stuck to his core values that he would do alright.

I think he might make a great President. But, I don't think America is up to electing a woman or minority race.
I'll tell you one thing. If he runs in today's political climate. It speaks volumes on the character of his wife and children.
I see others mentioning his level of political experience. It certainly is a weakness and it is not a minor one. But, his experience level is about on par with Abraham Lincoln as I understand it. Not much less than Trumann either I don't think.
I'm not saying anyone should ignore it. I just don't think it is a deal breaker. We'll have to see more.

If he is smart enough to pick the Brightest and the Best for his advisers. If he begins to listen to the same old hacks it will sadly be a wasted opportunity to right the country and restore our constitution to a place of honor at home and in the world.

With what I have observed so far the answer is yes.Sen. Obama is highly intelligent and thinks before he speaks. While I do not agree with ALL of his liberal veiwpoints at this point of all the potential canidates he is my choice. He is in touch with the country.
PS I have been a registered republican for ever but in light of the current administration I have changed my veiwpoint.

Unless he changes his name, the ignorant masses will NEVER, underline NEVER EVER EVER vote for somebody whose name is so close to Osama. Sorry, that is the way it is. Personally I think he is brilliant in almost every way, except for his ability to realize that not changing his name from Obama is equivalent to a man named Benedict Arnold running for president.

I think he could handle the job, I would probably not like his policies though.
