Pierce Brosnan is my hero. Paris Hilton is slowly being outed from the 'Most attention grabbing in a bad way' to Britney. Mischa Barton is staying laid back... I don't know!

In terms of likeability, marketability, money, and skill in their chose profession, I'd say probably Tiger Woods. I'm not a golf fan or anything, but he's one of the few people that almost everyone likes.
Music fans are all divided up; there's not a star like Michael Jackson or Bruce Springsteen back in the '80s that towers over everyone else. There's nobody in Hollywood that's a guaranteed box office draw, most of the top TV shows have ensemble casts instead of single stars, and none of the major team sports have (at least in my opinion) a Michael Jordan or Mark McGwire type figure that transcends the sport.
Actually, Tom Hanks is pretty close to being a guaranteed money maker at the movies, but he's not a fame hog so he isn't shoved down our throats. As for the ones who are shoved down our throats (Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, etc.) what have they really accomplished?
