transcontinental batteries?

I am in spain and I just returned this god awful electricity transformer and got 26 euro store credit. i dont need anything, but i thought i could buy batteries. do batteries in spain work in United states appliances? do i have to ask for a special kind of batteries or will just any AA or AAA do?

they're all the same everywhere - an AA or AAA is universal. hooray

Batteries are universal. You may find, though, that they cost a lot less in the U.S. than in Europe.
