Why not send thousands of troops and gear to Sudan, Somalia, Eritrea, Palestine, Chechnya, true terrorist breeders, and where more innocent human lives are lost than anywhere else?
For those who will probably use the "we saved Europe from the Nazis" argument: It was the Russians who did it. The US was fighting the semi-dead Japs, out of sheer braggadoccio, just to impress Stalin with a 'vulgar display of power'.
Hummm, I keep wondering why.
(Let's face it: The NATO operations in the Balkans took place after YEARS of manslaughter and ethnic cleansing, and even then the US was quite reluctant. And sending gunships to Somalia is not precisely a Desert Storm, right?)
