It's a lack of knowledge. Also lazyness. They just spout out what they hear instead of researching and making their decisions.

Apathy and laziness. People just don't look into things for themselves anymore. They listen to biased media outlets and take what they report at face value, always choosing sources that lean toward their own beliefs. People nowadays think that someone else will pick up their slack so why expend the energy to find the truth or participate in the process by voting and so on. The unfortunate thing, in my opinion, is that it seems to be the majority of people from the major political parties who act this way and when confronted react by resorting to name calling and the blame game because they haven't done any real research themselves. The sad truth is most of the people who bark the loudest have no opinion of their own and only listen to input that pleases them and squelch ideas that don't. It's hard to have informed opinions when they only have part of the information.

The growing divide between religious right and liberal left.
With both sides unable to even SEE a TINY PIECE of the other side's argument, we will never find a compromise on the "right" education for our youth.
Education is going down the toilet because we're too worried about making the religious folks mad for telling too much or getting the liberals all upset b/c we don't tell enough.
I doubt we'll ever find middle ground.

It began in the 60's with peace love and dope. They turned on - tuned off and dropped out. Then it spread in communes to their children. In their little left wing corners of the world they taught their children hate - that government was corrupt, the man was corrupt. Nothing positive - As they multiplied they continued this trend and today they are in politics and are way left liberals who hate everything America stands for. When a Republican is elected all you see is hate, insults and denial of responsibility. They refuse to listen to the other side because of years of brainwashing. They have infested our colleges, local schools and our children's minds. Yet they are the first to cry for help from the Government when something happens as they are incapable of independent thought

People allow themselves to be influenced by the media, instead of drawing their own conclusions in a fair way.

It's the fault of clinton's dumbing down of America and the constant repetition of liberal lies and propaganda, "politically correct", the degeneration and perversion of morals. Need I go on?

It's sorryness.
People are too darn lazy to go and do research for themselves.
Therefore, they accept whatever lies are told to them!
