I've seen this movie about 5 times now and I still don't get it. Can someone please explain this movie to me? The 10 clues to unlocking it didn't really help me at all. I'm usually good with these movies! Anybody got some insight?

Lynch has refused to comment on the film's "meaning" or symbolism, leading to much discussion and multiple interpretations. The most widely cited interpretation, however, is that the first two-thirds of the film is a dream of the real Diane Selwyn (Watts), who has cast her dream-self as the innocent and hopeful "Betty Elms" (fashioned after a Winkie's waitress named Betty) and reconstructed her life, history, and persona into something like an old Hollywood movie, in which she is successful, charming, and lives the fantasy life of a soon-to-be-famous actress. The last third of the film serves to present the bleak reality of Diane's actual life, a life where her personal and professional wishes and desires have fallen tragically short

Yeah...It's pretty much impossible to "get" any David Lynch movie. Lost Highway is even more of a mind f*** than Muholland Drive. I like the soundtracks (kind of) but overall the movies are pretty dull and dare I say, pretentious.

When I was in college, a couple of my buddies got really high on weed, and thought they figured out the answers to all of lifes mysteries; and so I had them write all of the answers down. Incomprehensible mystery papers the next morning. I think the movie is probably something like that...writing a good script, getting really high, and screw the results! I think you should make what you want of it.

When I saw it like 5 years ago, I didn't get it. Who knows? Maybe if I tried watching it again I'd get it.
Didn't some chick show her boobs in it? lol. Thta's all I remember.

I only have hassle entering into his stuff yet i like Von Triers. isn't that unusual? That being mentioned. i like twin peaks over any of his movies yet unwell p.c.. Muhollandcontinual. --

ive watched it,still scratching my head,some friends seen it recently and have no idea whats goin on in it...very strange and have no real desire to watch it again
