warm moist air inside the house on cold surfaces. same as the toilet tank sweating in the summer time. you may need to seal the outside of your windows if you have storm windows. it's a good idea to seal any gaps around them, too. hope this helps, good luck.

It's probably the heat from the inside against the cold from the outside. Here's a remedy though (I use it on my bathroom mirrors for when I shower): Get shaving cream (not the gel) and rub it on the windows until it's gone. It's a little messy at first, but you'll have clean looking windows for weeks.

The wrong combonation of temperature differences and humidity between the outside and inside surfaces of glass causes condensation which in turn causes the windo to fog up or "sweat".

the humidity within your house is too high. add a humidifier to your furnace and then adjust it accordingly.
