I can relate to the feeling pregnant. I had my last child on September 24th of 2005. I can be sitting on the couch and I feel this movement inside like "it's a baby". I know I am not pregnant because I do have periods. There is a point in pregnancy where the body don't have enough of a protein to determine pregnancy on a test. This may be your case. When my husband and I were trying for our second, I checked with one of those tests and it came out negative. One week later, I tried it again and it was positive. It was all due to that protein I was telling you about. There wasn't enough to confirm your pregnancy. It may sound strange but I think you are pregnant!!

I am having similar symptoms, but I have not been pregnant before. I got some spotting the other day, but my period is usually a week long and very heavy. The home test has come up negative and I can't find a doctor to look at me. I am in a small town with few doctors and I don't have access to a vehicle. If it is a hormone imbalance, what could cause that?

Home pregnancy tests are very, very accurate when done according to the instructions. If you think that you could have made a mistake with the first test, try getting another one. My first period after I had my kids was worse than usual. Your symptoms sound like you will be getting yours soon. Try taking some extra strength Tylenol (I say Tylenol rather than Motrin just in case you are pregnant) and see if it helps with the cramping and tender breasts.

Its very possible because with your first child the test showed up negative even when it should have been positive. I would go to your family doctor and ask him to do a blood test to find out. Explain your situation and I am sure they will do what they can to prove one way or the other that you are or aren't pregnant.

You could be. Go to the doctor and ask them to do a blood test. It will show up there before it will in your urine.

you probably are pregnant... but i'd take another test in a few days. try not to get your hopes up too much. it could just be a hormone imbalance.
