I have been ttc with my husband since the end of November. I had a period the beginning of DEC after I went off of the pill. I haven't had a period since. I had ovulation cervical fluid on the 6th and we have been having sex every day or 2 days. Anyways, I took a test last week and it was negative. I took another this morning first urine and it came up not pregnant on the digital test. But when I took the test strip out, I could see a second line. It wasn't bright blue like the second line, but I could see it. My question is, was that just a shadow that would have turned blue if the hormone was detected or was it a faint positive? Serious answers only please! Thanks :)

➔ Trying to Conceive
As far as I know, the digital tests are pretty final in their results. I wouldn't get your hopes up yet, but I wouldn't be totally discouraged either.
Do you have any pregnancy symptoms that might make you think that you are in fact pregnant? Or are you like me and have the pms symptoms (that are so similar to pregnancy symptoms) every month only to end up with a BFN?
Also, have you contacted your doctor? I don't know what your typical cycle is, but if you're over a week late, then you should definitely call them and get a blood test! That will give you the most accurate result. If you don't want to call them quite yet, then wait a couple of more days (like you really want to wait anymore), and take another home test.
I know the whole TTC thing can be very frustrating, but if there's anything you can do that will take your mind off while you wait, then by all means do it - it helps pass at least some of the time!
As an end note - I have heard many stories where it has taken some women anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months before they were able to get a positive.
Just don't get discouraged - you actually haven't been trying very long (2 months?) compared to most people, so you're still in the ball game with a very good chance that it could happen next month if you're not already!
I wish you much luck!!!

I have never done a digital test, so i dont know how they work, but like anything in life it has the capability to go wrong. You COULD be pregnant, but the liklyhood is that you're not. Please dont do what i did and do a test twice a day for days until you come on - it cost me an absolute fortune and it took 18months to conceive.
My advice to you is to wait 2 or 3 days, and then do another test. Maybe get the doctor to do a test for you, or you could have blood tests done to see if there is any hormone in your blood.
Relax hon - it will happen.

I had the same thing happen and actually called the company to ask about the second line. They said the lines have no bearing on the test and to only look at the digital reading. Not to bum you out but if the test said negative then you can only rely on that. But best of luck to you! =)

in case you be conscious a line and it confirmed up interior the era of time listed, then that keeps to be a favorable! To be on the secure edge, i might want to get yet another try. the first hpt I used did not even take position as effective interior the time slot. about an hour later, I grabbed the try of the trash out of curiousity and spoke of an exceedingly faint line on the try. My husband swore that there change into no way it change into effective by using not on time outcome, yet my gut reported it change into top. So i purchased an early prediction try (they choose a lot less hcg to grant a favorable outcome) and took it the subsequent morning. Low and behold, i change into pregnant!

The digitals don't work like regular tests. They detect LH and Hcg..go here for a full explanation-- http://www.peeonastick.com/hpt/digitalsecret.html
It doesn't matter how many lines there are on the stick if it said "not pregnant" then you're not pregnant.

If the digital says you are not pregnant that you probably are not. Those are very effective and there is no guess work involved the clear blue work the best. Hope this helps!

Evaporation lines are generally colorless or grey. If it was actually blue its possible BUT I would wait two ro three days then test again.
