Um I dont know? I would wonder why they care? Was it a woman who asked maybe she wanted to know if you were single so she could ask you out. If it was a guy asking maybe he wanted the same thing lol. I think I would have said why is that important? I would then say it was a personal question that has no relevance to the situation.

hmmm sounds kinda personal and I am (being cynical)wondering if they asked you that to see if maybe you would reply that you are gay...(not saying you are) but just perhaps some homophobe is trying to weed out what he doesn't find acceptable...either way...it was a question he had no business asking.
