She lives alone and was watching TV of 2 men discussing something when all of a sudden without any warning, a white cross appeared on her TV Screen as if in the Picture, and Slowly but Clearly a Mans Face started to appear behind one of the mens heads, which were still in conversation. Suddenly as the face was so clear but transparent through the head of one of the men on TV the TV suddenly Froze! Freeze Framed and No Sound or anything came from the TV. She was shocked and went to get her Digital Camera and took 3 Photographs of this Frozen Picture with the Mans Face Clearly Visible behind the man on TV. She phoned myself and my sister but as my sister lives closer than I do she went round to see the Face on the TV she was Spooked! And couldnt understand any of it. I have today seen the Pictures on her Camera and there he was so clearly! my mother could not change the channels either and had to disconnect the plug out of wall. Help!!!

Frankly, it sounds like an electronic recieving glitch. Perhaps the tuner was suddenly picking up a secondary transmission on the same waveband (rather like airwave pirates used to do with radio waves back in the fifties). This doesn't explain why the controls wouldn't work, but did anyone check batteries in the remote?
I'd also be interested to know if this happened to anyone else watching that program, especially if they were near your Mum's home when it happened (like a neighbor watching the same show).

Dude that is so freakin scary! I would have dropped dead if that happened to me. You should post the pics on here if you can get copies or her digital camera. That's wild! call those guys on the link below, maybe her house can be on ghost hunters. In the mean time if I were her. I would run, not walk, not pack, but get my *** out of that house faster than lighting.

I personally think it was her TV giving up and it froze in between two pictures or channels. Can she get it back on now? It will work out or get a new TV for your mum.
