Is it an optical mouse? If not, remember that all mice like their balls wiped from time to time.

Wow that is stuff! I think you should feed the cat, but the poor mouse should be able to live. All the mouse is doing is squeaking, so oil the mouse and feed the cat and then you should take a nap because you will be exhausted from all of the effort you put into the days work. I'm taking my nap from the thought I put into this. LOL

The cat is just being a cat. Face it sooner or later it comes down to a choice, the cat or the mouse. Some animals were not meant to live in perfect harmony. My Cheshire cat ate my Multi-colored parot and the cat was only 4 months old. I am Alice and I should have known better. Try an optical mouse it wont squeek!

Is it a lazer (optical) mouse or an old school ball mouse? If it's a ball mouse, flip it over, twist the little holder off, and take out the ball. Clean the ball and blow out the inside of the mouse with compressed air or your own breath (just don't spit it in). Also you may want to invest in a different mouse pad. That may help.
Good luck!

Three words: Feed the cat. Or, put another way, does the phrase, "food chain" mean anything to you?
