What are some of the worst 80's songs you've ever heard?

My vote goes to Styx: Mr. Roboto, any Chicago/Peter Cetera ballad, Don Johnson: Heartbeat and Eddie Murphy: Party All the Time

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Charlene's I've Never Been to Me, that was an awful song and it's one of the most sappiest songs I've ever heard that has aged very poorly over the years.

I do agree with you on Styx's Mr. Roboto being up there as some of the worst songs of the 1980s and it's really sad cause Styx was a really good band back in the 1970s.

I'm also surprised that nobody has mentioned Queen's Body Language, what a dumb song considering how great they were in the 1970s and I can see why that song has aged poorly and the same goes for Radio Ga Ga (another Queen song that has aged poorly).

Good Lord, where to start...

"Physical" (Olivia Newton John)
"Morning Train" (Sheena Easton)
"Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" (Wham)
"Karma Chameleon" and that "war is stupid" song (Culture Club)
"We Are The World"
"Too Much Time On My Hands" (Styx... and featuring some of the most inane lyrics you will ever hear in a popular song)
"Ebony and Ivory" (Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder)

Any Air Supply song, thank goodness those guys faded away by the mid 1980s.

I have totally forgotten all about Charlene's I've Never Been to Me and I have to agree that it was a really awful song.

Kenny Rogers: Lady (one of the worst love ballads I've ever heard)

Electric Light Orchestra: Rock 'n Roll is King (WTH was ELO thinking when they did that song considering how great they were in the 1970s), I also thought "All Over the World" was a really bad song.

No it's not bad, it just means you like music. I am the same way when I hear music I like. I could listen to music forever, it's a big part of my life. I can tell you feel the same way.

Anything by Bananarama, The Go-Gos and Walk Like an Egyptian. Walk Like An Egyptian is possibly the worst song of all time.

By far anything and everything by David Hasselhoff. He's the only singer that wears ear plugs so that he can't hear how bad he is.
