That would offend too many Black people and then they'd start calling us racist and sh*t.Oh and they need to make sure the world recognises that they exist.Cause we don't already know.

These things exist because black people got tired of being the token black person all the time.

We NEED a designated black history month because if wasn't for thosed 28 days [29 in leap year] you probably wouldn't know the first thing about black history other than whatever Ophrah is doing.
You don't need a white history month because the other days of the year almost entirely white history centered in the first place.

You don't need a Miss White America Pagent because you probably barely notice the black people in the Pagent anywayz, and if you wait to till the end, it usually is Miss White America.

We have BET to even things out, because there about as many whites on BET as there are blacks on ALL THE OTHER MAINSTREAM CHANNELS.

How about every month is white history month (think about it, in school how much do you learn about white history and how much time is devoted to black history?) and there is a "Miss America Paegant" you know the one that Donald Trump runs now, where it is almost all white women and has be running for almost 50 years. You should also slow down and pay attention to what you are watching on tv, most tv shows or programs feature white people much more than blacks, and it was even worse 10 years ago. Just because it doesn't have the word white in front of it doesn't mean it's not. Our country still has a long way to go for everyone to be equal all you have to do is stop and look around. Maybe you could help by being colorblind.

The same reason whites couldn't be slaves, didn't have to sit at the back of the bus or give up seats, got to live wherever they wanted, why whites don't get pulled over for driving an expensive car or for walking in a "black" neighbourhood.

They may be moot now, but there was a time (like the early 90's backward) when you could only see blacks at the black events.

What would be the difference between White Entertainment Television and say MTV????? What would you learn differently during white history month that isn't taught in regular history class...don't they mentions a bunch of white people already...are there some missing from the texts????

THINK, don't just jump to conclusions...really ponder before you ask this dumb question again!!!!!

Everyday is white history. The only time we hear about black history is during black history month or some black holiday. Add more black history throughout the school year and then we can get rid of the month. If you allowed Miss America to be more diverse besides the whole bunch of white women and four minorities consisting of (Asian, Hispanic or Black), then there would be no need for a Miss Black America.

The same goes for magazines. I used to subscribe to Fortune magazine, then I came to a conclusion that there was only white folks in there, except for on black history month. For the longest time I wondered if blacks weren't doing enough to get into the magazine. Then I found Black Enterprise and to my surprise there are successful black people in this country. So you know my subscription changed.

As for television, every channel is white owned and caters to a white audience. BET is all we got that caters to what blacks wish to see.

If you wish to see Black History month, Black Miss America and BET come to an end. The solution is simple, let's hear about Black History throughout the year. How about more black women in the Miss America contest. And how about more blacks on TV and in roles that show blacks in a positive role.

There is no miss white america, WET tv network or other things focused on whites because there is no need . The United States is already a white oriented country . I think you can agree that most media is already white, so there is no need to create a separate network focused on whites, same goes for Miss America, etc. The thing is, white people don't "see" that we have mostly white tv, and that most everything is from a white point of view because they are so used to it that they believe it to be normal. For example, American history, American art, most anything with "American" in the name is only white even though America is comprised of other groups. These groups are not considered "American", per se, thus they must create a separate version in order to be included. There is racism because of this not "seeing" others as the same. Let's take animals for example. I have 3 cats, an orange striped, a gray striped , and a calico. They honestly do not see any difference in each other . They only see "cat". Racism will continue until people see only "people" not "black people" or a "white people".

BET is the only one I agree with because its a channel going to a specific demographic. Its like Lifetime for women. All women are beautiful and this beauty pageant junk is retarded anyway, black or white. Every month should be black history month for black people. Never stop reading about yourself. Same goes for all races. White people have the most shows geared toward us. We just don't have to label it WET.

Listen, don't blame ME for it. I didn't ask for the crap. Just like whites are talking about being blamed for slavery, don't blame ME for BET, black history month and black miss america, NAACP, affirmative action or whatever else you're going to throw in there.

If the country wasn't so fuked up, these things would have never been invented so THERE! If you really are concerned and not just trolling, write to your congressman.

Personally, I don't watch BET, haven't thought about black history month since I was in grade school because i'm grown and have a million and one things to worry about besides black history month and I can't remember the last time I saw the black miss america pageant.

Happy now?

Why not?

I do not mind being reminded of how hard it was for the first black americans

I also do not mind seeing the Black women

I also have nothing against the black community having a channel to support their culture and beliefs.

I also do not see why a white person can not watch or participate in these activites if they want to.

Black History month is a month for honoring Black freedom fighters who faught for the rights of Black people, because at one point we were slaves, and at one point we were seggregated and treated different then White people. Also for Black freedom fighters who faught for equality for all people to be treated equal, including you. That's why it's celebrated by all and not just for Blacks. I personally don't think every black person is appreciative for how much we were faught for because in todays society, it shows in out community that we haven't learned the importance of why we were faught for, that we yet don't set an example for ourselves and others. It's not about having a month for a race of people, it's just reminding us of our history and if we have learned and bettered ourselves in life along with others living with free rights today in America. It's American History.

You're on a way different subject with the Miss America Pageant. it's a pageant for all women, and who ever is chosen isn't because of their race. And BET if you are talking about, was created for everyone to watch obviously, and it's basically showing television shows of black drama(tv series), or music like Hip Hop, and Blues which was founded by blacks, and celebrates Black History as well. It doesn't mean it's just for us to watch. It also honors blacks who have mad it today in a tough society like anyone else. To show how successful black people are different from when we didn't have rights.

I tell you, those blacks and their incessant need to be represented in the American world. What could be wrong?

Please send a letter to your Congressman, and the owners of media outlets (tv, cable, and print) and inform them you would like to have blacks depicted appropriately and fairly included in REGULAR programming and that you think it is wrong that they should have to resort to having their own (one) cable channel -- and this wouldn't be necessary if they were included in regular programming.

Otherwise, you sound like an idiot, to suggest that whites don't already have more than adequate representation in all aspects of public life from tv to congress.

Your question originates from a completely innate dumbness.
