i do believe that it would depend on what substance you are referrencing due to everything having different speciific gravities ie 29.6 mL of mercury, vs 29.6 mL of methyl alcohol--big difference!

29.6 ml = 29.6*d milligramme where d is the density of the substance in milligrammes per millilitre.

It depends on the density of the substance.

d=m/V

m=d*V
You know the volume, but you need the density. If the density is 1g/mL, then the answer is 29.6 g.
