I have celebrated 54 birthdays. I don't look forward to them as much as I once did, but I don't dread them either. Maybe you could plan to do or get something that you want, but wouldn't ordinarily. something that will make you feel better. ask a friend out to eat and/or to a movie. take a trip somewhere you've never been, but thought of going. reward yourself for having made it through another year. Happy Birthday!!

I think Birthdays are more difficult as we get older. Partly because it is a time of reflection. What did we accomplish in the last year? Are we in the place that we thought we would be. Each age group (20's, 30's) represents an expectation that we put on ourselves.(professionally, personally)
Last year I turned thrity five. I decided for the first time in my life to take a day off and celebrate me. I took care of ME. I was thankful for all that I had rather then focusing on all of my short comings. (I had all year to do that) It was therapeutic. It was wonderful and I will do it every year. IT is only ONE DAY...Be kind to yourself!!

My birthday was a real big deal when I was a child. I got all kinds of presents, and always had a party. Thinking back, this was pretty amazing--since my birthday is right after the holidays--and that my mom's birthday was three days after mine--AND my brother's birthday was one week after mine. A big deal was made of all of them.
Certain birthdays have depressed me in recent years--well, I'm so much older. This one was great, and most of my children were with me (the ones who live in my state). I also got calls from the children who live in other states, and from my brother.

Its basically yet another day for me i do not do something particular. If i had friends or a kin then perchance i might want to do something yet its truly depressing sitting at homestead by potential of your self. the in uncomplicated words issues birthdays do if something, is it makes you already know the blunders you've made and what you should have finished previously in existence to work out how that day might want to have grew to change into out if issues were different. I do pass over my little ones and early 20's as again then i presumed it does no longer pass as quick as they have, i choose i also not in any respect listened to those those that say such issues as "there is no rush to do issues in existence" even as at this age you be conscious there easily is and somethings can in uncomplicated words be finished even as your youthful and that i have regrettably ignored out on them now. ill be 30 quickly yet he type itself doesn't problem me or the closer it brings you to demise as by using a mixture of ailments and genetic faults i'd be fortunate to work out an afternoon over 40 besides.

I get upset on my birthday a lot, but mine is the day before christmas and it always seems more hectic than relaxing. I would just say to try and look at the positives next year if you start feeling down.

as we get older i think it is fairly common.. the day serves to remind us of our failures and shortcomings as we face the countdown to our life.. instead we should be celebrating the past year and look at the accomplishments we have made instead... i know its iounds kinda lame but trust me i get depressed too but its worth trying to see the positive aspects rather tahn dwell on the negatives, and things that we have no control over.

Maybe it's because I'm getting old, but I could not care less if my birthday comes or not, so I don't think or worry about it...Works for me!!!
