I'm looking to change my fashion style in terms of my clothes as I'm in a bit of a rut. I'm a UK size 14 so quite curvy and busty. I like funky alternative styles and anything that looks designer (not designer prices though as I'm only a student). My usual style is just jeans and t-shirts although I want to be more stylish and look smarter. Any suggestions of stores (preferably ones with websites) that must be based in the UK would be greatly appreciated. I'm particularly interested in knowing about designer jeans, vintage style t-shirts, killer heels etc. I'd love to find a nice black pencil skirt also. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Purples are in the fashion at the moment preferably dark. They are funky and brighten up the winter weather. Because you are a size 14 smart jackets with a belt around the waist possibly slightly higher accentuate the curves of your hips.
Also in fashion this winter are frills and bows and give the vintage look. Try adding ribbons as belts for your jeans and bows on your jackets. Try new look for the vintage style t-shirts and jeans.

Hope this helps!

Try booking a personal shopper at debenhams. Even if you don't (or can't afford) to buy any of the clothes there you will get advice on what styles suit your figure. But you could splash out on a couple of the basics (eg the jeans) here then you can get away with cheaper tops from somewhere else. Personal shoppers will also give you advice on how to mix and match which is important if you are looking to develop a whole new wardrope as its cheaper to mix and match. Depending where you live other shops may offer this service too so pick a shop you like. Also buy some fashion magazines, cut out any styles you like and put them in a scrap book then you can take them to your appointment. You can also take these pictures when you go out shopping in case you need to explain to the assistant what you are after.

In terms of jeans, for a size 14 you want boot cut and a dark colour to make you look slimmer. Always wear heals too.

Hello there,I can understand as once in a while we all need that advice! Its great that you want to be more creative with your style. You mentioned how you are a student and ,as is understandable would like to keep the price more down to earth.Shopping wise I would like to recommend ebay.co.uk.Theres everything on there from designer jeans to pencil skirts, all at a VERY affordable price. I've saved hundreds of pounds in the last few months, shopping on there.Aside from the internet however h & m and MKone have some stunning vintage gear.At the moment they have got a sale and you can buy dresses starting from only £2.00!H& m are offering buy one get one frees on all there sale items. an offer not to be missed.Hope all goes well with your style change, and remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder.hope this helps, regards roma!

I would also recommened ebay.co.uk or ebay.com for even more to choose from, there is SO much of every style on there, the only problem is there is a lot of people trying to sell their old wasnt-even-in-fashion-in-the-first-place crap on their too, so you have to sift through a lot of junk to find the good stuff, or be really specific with your searches, which if you are an ebay addict you will get to grips with pretty quickly.
