He won't be able to escape those charges no matter how long he postpones his departure. He was wrong in the action he took in Afghanistan and Iraq and he's the only one that doesn't seem to realise it.

No I have always assumed it is because he wants to go down in history as the person who was prime minister for 10 years. Therefore he needs to hang on until at least 1st May 2007. I expect he will go soon after that
