The electrical energy that is given to the loudspeaker is given actually to the coil made up of copper which is placed in the magnetic field generated by the circular ring type of magnet.
When the electrical energy is given to coil it induces the magnetic field by the application of the Faradays law,then the coil is displaced and the diphragm connected to it is vibrated generating sound.

Electric pulses make an electromagnet in your speaker turn on and off to varying degrees (why its an analouge signal, a digital signal would just sound like morse code) which makes the front piece vibrate sending vibrations in the air to your ears.

Yes, electric can convert to sound if you are talking about energy. Its called energy transormation. For example, a battery has chemical potential energy, the battery is activated, the battery produces electrical energy, the electrical energy is then transferred to kinetic, kinetic to sound.
Heres an example involving a speaker:

(there is thermal energy in all examples)

when electric pulses oscillate a diaphram kept in its attraction zone it vibrates thus creating sound.
the type and quality of sound is applied to various appliances where ever necessary
door bell
buzzer
speakers
all work on same principle but application is different
siren works electrically not by electromagnetic principle but cutting air by its vanes
