Because it can be fun! I'm straight and have gone to gay bars on several occasions with friends that are gay. Plus, there are usually a lot of straight women that go to them too.

I know some who go and are not that straight. Some go for the music and because it's generally more fun that a straight club. Additionally, I've met straight guys who go to meet the straight women who go there. Many women think if a man is open enough to go to a gay club, he's enlightened and they find that attractive. It is a great place for straight men to meet straight women as the competition isn't that high.

Straight girls often go to have a fun night with gay male friends. Straight guys often go to show support for a gay friend or simply because there are no other clubs near them.

I have asked myself that same question. I think for the most part they are open minded people who just want to go out to have a good time. I've found gay clubs to be more entertaining than straight ones.

I did bartending at a "regular" club, and it was a huge problem with the fights over who's guy looked at who's girl and who's gilr was acting like a slut with this guy. I took a job at a gay club, just down the street from the other, and it was more fun, I've ony seen one fight. That was when a straight guy came in and started calling names. I have served many straights who come in because they don't feel threatened, and I think it's because most gays act more maturely and professionally.

girls go to gay clubs so they wont be hit on by so many guys, i wouldnt know why straight guys would go to a gay club, maybe cause they are hanging with some gay friends

Think about it;
Those clubs are usually flashier, with events such as drag shows, contests, and people with amazing personalities dancing and drinking just like anywhere else...
Whenever I go to a hetero club, I feel like I'm a piece of woman-meat left to rabid wolves who only have one thing on their minds: getting me home, and doing it.
At gay clubs, its so much more relaxed. The sexual tension is still there, but it's usually, for me, a funner environment. Plus, way over half of my friends are gay, and I support them by going with them.

Once I went to a female gay club with a female friend just to see how many chicks I could get to flirt with me.
Another time I stumbled into a gay pride soiree and didn't leave because I wasn't at all bothered by it.
I went to a male gay club to support a coworker who worked there and ended up making friend with a couple of gay dudes and we ended up going to another club together.
It's just fun to hang out with gay people. They're lively, charismatic, stylish and chic. Who wouldn't want to hang out with them?

My mom and her friends (all straight) used to go to gay clubs because they wouldn't be bothered by men, because, presumably, they were not into women. Furthermore, they wouldn't be bothered by women since they would go as a group so they would figure they were "taken"
