Kyoto has not been abandoned by all countries. But I am aware that the States has not boughten into it and that Canada is also guilty of not doing so. Previous Liberal government was in support of Kyoto but current Conservative government does not support it. The environment will be the number one issue here in Canada during our next election and I believe as such it will bring the Liberals back into power. But as I was watching the news this morning it was announced that Steven Harper has said the new Clean Air Act there will be tougher standards on gas emissions but will not put any undue hardships on industry.

no, but we solve this problem, by relocating smoke belching industries and factories to china.
