A.) I recommend using a router that's not the ISP's router. They should just have a modem that hooks up to your personal router.

B.) Drop DSL. I love my Comcast. The other day, I had an account question (I was moving, needed to change service), so I called and instantly had a person on the phone. Also, I was investigating FIOS - Verizon wanted a month to install a new line, (but they nicely said that in 2 weeks, they could install DSL to hold me over :Þ). Comcast said "Is tomorrow ok?"

My husband had this problem and it turned out his xbox itself was the problem and they are aware of it. They sent him a free postage paid mailer label and told him to sdend the whole set up back to them in the original box and they ended up sending him back a new box, cables, etc.

He started noticing it while playing online when games would freeze up midplay, but we also then experienced problems watching dvds. After trying many brand new dvds and having the same problem, we figured it had to be the box, not the disks.

We tried new cables, router, etc, nothing worked, so it had to be the box.

The new one they sent is fine. They said it was a circuit/board problem that occurred in manufacturing it and only certain ones were affected. Ours, going by the serial and model number on the box, was one of those affected.

Contact them and see if your set up is one of them.

it is your adapter, that's what it sounds like. in case you are able to, unload the on the spot and a get a under pressure connection. that's plenty speedier and so plenty extra sturdy. I also have a 50 ft. cord from my room by way of my pass slowly area to my router.
