Born at 26-29 weeks of gestation: The outcomes for these babies are much more optimistic, with the odds of survival varying from about 75 percent for 26-weekers to 85 percent for 29-weekers. Many babies in this group grow up perfectly healthy, but there is still a high risk for some sort of disability. About 40 percent of surviving 26- to 29-weekers will be normal, another 40 percent will have mild or moderate disabilities and about 20 percent will have a severe disability. The closer to 29 weeks your baby is born, the smaller his risk. Even more important is whether he has other medical complications: very poor growth in the womb, brain damage apparent on a head ultrasound or severe lung damage. If not, his chances of being normal are great.

There are chances of problems, but with all of the modern technology we have today as long as you get an ambulance or right to the hospital you stand a pretty good chance. I had a friend go early after losing a baby and her daughter born early and premature but is now 4 and doing great. Just stop stressing so much and be calm its much healthier for the both of you. i know easier said than done. Good luck!

I'm not 100% sure but I think a baby can surviv on its own at 24 weeks. If you did have your baby early then it should survive. The hospitals have the technology and equipment necessary to take care of a premature baby. The chances of survival are really good.

Babies survive after 22 weeks now, although it's a long shot with a long hospital stay and a high likelihood of both chronic and acute problems.
Every week after that, the chances increase. And by 32 weeks, even though you're still in for a hospital stay, your chances of survival w/o tons and tons of life-long problems increase by a substantial amount.

Well, I don't know about the chances, but one of my cousins was born at 27 weeks. He was in an incubator for a couple of weeks, he is 13 years now and perfectly fine in every way except being a little short. Good luck!

There are uncetainties in every trimester of pregnancy. Your baby should be just fine though.
You need to make sure that your midwife or OB knows how nervous you are and that they are supportive. If they are not you should look for someone who is.
I miscarried several times, once at 21 weeks. I went on to have two full term pregnancies with healthy babies. My midwife was sensitive to my need to have more than the usual amounts of ultrsounds done, and was very reassuring. She also helped look for causes of the miscarriage to minimize my risks in future pregnancies.
As long as you are keeping yourself healthy and resting, you have to try to relax. Stress is a huge detriment to a healthy pregnancy.
Best Wishes to you

Kinda gotta go with the flow on this one. Just know that whatever will be will be. I think you will be alright having gone almost 3/4 of the way through. Just try not to stress yourself out because that could factor in to what happens in the future.
