Make sure you get something that is fragrance free! That is what makes my dry skin burn. Also try to find a lotion that has either low or no mineral oil. I've been told that that isn't good for the skin. You can tell if it only has a little by looking at the ingredients, If it's towards the bottom of the list it's ok but if its the first couple ingredients try to look around some more.
I like curel. It does wonders for my skin (if i can remember to put it on every day) But it's not the cheapest lotion. Look for it when it's on sale. Buy two bottles.
Also try to drink more water. I know i dont drink enough and that is a big factor with my dry skin.
good luck with fixing your dry skin!

A nurse told me once to take vitamin C. But, first and foremost you need to take special care of your open wounds. I would start with an antibiotic to help them heal. There are several good ones on the market. You can also use baby oil immediately after washing. This will help hold in the moisture. Aveno is another excellent product that will hold in the moisture.
Any good moisturizer will work but you need to remember that you need moisture to retain before anything will do any good. If you have to use a spritz bottle and spritz water on your skin first. Then quickly moisturize and use a very light coating of baby oil and that will hold all the water and lotion in your skin.

Yeah. Get some pure shey butter (I think thats spelled right). It smells a little weird, but its SOOOOOOOO good. My skin got so bad I looked like a reptile and was bleeding out of my hands. I used the butter. Nice and smooth.

Neem oil smells like burnt garlic but it will heal up your skin really fast. also increase your oil intake significantly, 2 tablespoons of olive oil a day will help.

Look in the hair products section of a store. Dollar stores have it and hair product stores have it. It is called cholesterol. It is wonderful. You can use it one your skin or in your hair. I am pregnant and I use it in my stomach everyday. It has no alcohol in it. Only moisturizers and vitamins.
