People will always be there to see what you have done wrong, and talk badly about it. people very seldom praise you for the good you have done. If there is something you don't like about yourself change it, no matter how hard, find a way. Look at the postive things, and people in your life. And put it into action, we all fail at things, if we try are best, that's all we can do. if we fail, we learn from it, so it is then a positive thing. We are all human and make mistakes, don't be so hard on your self.

I have a hard and fast rule

If someone has something to say to me about myself and it is negative, I dismiss it.

I will only listen to feedback that is positive.

I'm plenty hard on myself - I don't need others as well.

Would you eat arsenic? Ever?

No.

Thats how I am about ingesting the negative feedback of others.

(Btw, if someone is hurt by something I do - and nicely expresses a request about it, that is not negative feedback. It is about their needs, not a judgement of me).

I have a small number of very positive friends and we help and coach each other in our aims and goals - and help each other deal with the negativity from others that is sent our way. We also stop each other from beating up on ourselves - being our own enemy.

Good luck to you in doing the same.

No, some people have no ability to correct themselves. They have to have an authority to do it for them. Sadly...
